Nigel Farage, leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party and long-standing pro-Brexit campaigner, called Friday for June 23 to be celebrated as a British bank holiday and known as “independence day.”

Speaking after Britons voted to leave the EU, Farage said immigration was “ultimately the issue which won this referendum.”

Farage said the British vote was just the beginning, and the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Austria could be next. “We may be close to Nexit. We could be quite close to Dexit,” he said.

“I hope we’ve knocked the first brick out of the wall,” he added.
