A group of 36 child asylum seekers who were former residents of the Calais refugee camp known as “the Jungle” have filed a legal challenge to the way British Home Secretary Amber Rudd handled their applications, the Guardian reported Thursday.

The teenagers were distributed across 15 reception centers around France after the Jungle was dismantled by authorities October 31, and 28 of them were refused asylum in the U.K. while the remaining eight are awaiting a decision.

In their legal challenge, they allege the British government reneged on a commitment to bring refugee children from Calais to the U.K. and failing to provide properly written decisions, among other accusations.

The children who were refused asylum are aged between 14 and 17 and come from Eritrea, Afghanistan and Sudan.
