British Prime Minister Theresa May and her senior Brexit advisers will visit Brussels Monday for talks with top members of the European Commission, officials told POLITICO.

May will be joined by her EU sherpa Oliver Robbins and Brexit Secretary David Davis for the working dinner with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, his chief of staff Martin Selmayr and the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier.

The meeting will be held three days before the European Council summit, at which EU27 leaders will decide whether sufficient progress has been made in Brexit talks to enable the parties to move on to discussions of their future trade relationship.

The dinner has been planned “for a little while,” according to a Downing Street aide, and is the latest in a string of bilateral talks over recent days between May and EU leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, European Council President Donald Tusk and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

Florian Eder and Jack Blanchard contributed reporting.
