Police shot an attacker who injured a policeman in Brussels Tuesday morning.
The policeman has been transferred to hospital, and his injuries aren’t life-threatening, according to a tweet by Belgian Interior Minister Jan Jambon.
“Again a cowardly attack against our policemen,” Jambon tweeted, adding: “All support to Brussels police.”
The public prosecutor’s office is investigating the case, Jambon said.
According to Le Soir, the suspect’s injuries are also not life-threatening. De Standaard reported that the motive behind the attack is not yet clear.
